This place is amazing! The food is incredible. The people are super nice and helpful. The ambiance is really hang-out-able.
So I guess these guys had the place called "Awash" prior. I know nothing about that place so I won't entertain you with lies. However, apparently Awash was popular and good. Per the internet. So there.
They have a full bar but they don't know how to make drinks, so you can have fun teaching them how to do that. Much awesomer than your regular bar!
Anyways I have a pic so will upload shortly. Peace my fellow Yelpians! -

Can't believe how many people rated this with 5 stars. I feel bad for you that you think this is good Ethiopian food.
I moved here in August from NYC and I eat a lot of Ethiopian because it's a fantastic cuisine. This is by far the worst I've ever had. Food was cold! wtf! The other post about the veggie platter was spot on. Canned green beans. Slimy okra. Bland lentils. Waste of time and money. We ordered kitfo and it was cooked (but only lukewarm).
Please go to Sunset Cafe 10 minutes away. Sunset Cafe is amazing. -

I eat alot of ethiopian food here in seattle....often go with a vegan friend of mine and order the vegetarian combo....this was hands down the worst veggie combo in the city....tiny portions of bland lentils, okra, and string beans that certainly came out of a can...with so many better options for injera in the city there is absolutely no reason to come here...

A gem! Friendly staff! The veggie-meat combo is tasty-a nice variety. I took a group of friends for their first experience of eating Ethiopian food, and they fell in love. The ambience is casual, yet a homey feeling. It's a cultural experience, so please don't bring an "American" standard type of service. I have always left with a full stomach, and a smile on my face.

Best Ethiopian I have had in Seattle. I got the veggie combo and have to say their red lentils and okra were particular highlights. Is twice in a week too much?
